Every now and then, people tell me what I should be.

Some even say what I must be,

Even though that is what I hate to be.

I ask myself, ‘What do you want to be?

Is there a limit to what you can be?’

I dread not to be

The man that I could be!

Everyday, I strive to be

What I love to be,

Hustle for what I have to be,

Struggle for what I dare to be,

While hoping for what I dream to be

For truth be told that is all I care to be!
